Paintings
Italian and French Baroque paintings, particularly Caravaggesque works and strongly narrative compositions; Northern and French schools of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries; historically important works by women artists.
Nineteenth-century paintings by artists such as Besnard, Cabanel, Breton, Béraud, Boldini, Clairin, Tissot and Bouguereau, as well as views of Venice.
Drawings
Italian Renaissance and Mannerist drawings, particularly Florentine, Bolognese and Emilian masters; Northern Renaissance drawings of the fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries; early Netherlandish drawings; French and Italian seventeenth-century sheets.
Studies of artists at work, studio practice, tools and creative gestures; drapery studies; drawings by women artists from the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries; fine academic and Belle Époque drawings.

Please send the artist or proposed attribution, medium, dimensions, known provenance and photographs of the front and reverse. Details of inscriptions, labels and collector’s marks are particularly useful.
